The Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ) says it has received a complaint in which a teaching post applicant has been removed off the recruitment list for not being part of the Teachers for Economic Development (Teachers4ED).
Teachers4ED is a grouping of teachers who support President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and his party ZANU PF.
Apparently, ARTUZ has expressed concern over the audio and says it will take measures.
“We have received a shocking audio in which a male calling himself Mr …. of @psczimbabwe is speaking to a Female teacher who was recruited to teach at Dulibadzimu Primary Beitbridge.
“Mr… demands a certificate from Teachers4ED training for the recruitment to be valid.
“Mr..says the name of the lady will now be removed from the list. The lady narrates how she had spent money securing all documents required for appointment.
“Mr.. tells the lady that she has to attend training to be considered in future. The Union has set in motion investigations.
“We will be sharing the audio with @psczimbabwe, @ZACConline and @zhrc365 for them to investigate. The audio raises damning allegations that can erode credibility of our Civil Service.”
