For close to 3 years now, pro-democracy campaigner Pride Mkono has been appearing in court answering to charges of subverting constitutional govt for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Mnangagwa’s administration.
Today, Mkono was back at Harare Magistrates Court, where he was remanded to 13 May.
This came after prosecutors argued that they need to summon the investigating officer to appear in court & testify on progress of investigations being conducted.
He is represented by the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR).
Meanwhile, on another note, ZLHR says:
We are elated that after being subjected to a protracted battle with authorities at RG’s Office while seeking to obtain a birth certificate to allow her to register & write her “O” Level exams in 2021, which ended following the intervention of Agnes Muzondo of
ZLHR, a 16 year-old minor managed to obtain some satisfactory results. We wish her all the best in her educational exploits.
