President Emmerson Mnangagwa says he believes that the diaspora can play a critical role in the financing of startups in Zimbabwe.
He lauded the already visible role some are playing in partnering government and the private sector in projects at home.
Mnangagwa adds that an increased number of members of Zimbabweans in the Diaspora are partnering government in hosting housing development, water & sanitation, health, education infrastructure development as well as in arts, sports & culture.
He emphasized that there are more areas of cooperation.
Over the years the Zimbabwean government had been treating disporans as sell outs.
The government had been accusing them of tarnishing the country’s image.
