The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) will on 25 March 2023 hold the Commissioner General of Police’s 21km road race at Caravan Park in Masvingo.
In a statement, ZRP national spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said athletes will compete in the 5km, 10km, and 21km races.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police will be hosting the Commissioner General of Police’s 21km road race at Caravan Park in Masvingo on 25th March 2023 at 0600 hours.
“Athletes will compete in five (5) kilometres, 10 kilometres and 21 kilometres categories which include wheelchair, masters, grandmaster and tertiary, among others. Winners will walk away with various prizes,” he said.
Nyathi said the registration fees are as follows: ZWL$5 000.00 for the 21km and 10km races, and ZWL$2 000.00 for the 5km run.
He said the registration is being done online and will close on 24th March 2023.
“The event which is being sponsored by Old Mutual Zimbabwe will be officiated by the Commissioner General of Police, TG Matanga,” he added.
