The Zimbabwe Republic Police has banned Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) rally scheduled for Wednesday at Chemhanza Grounds in Tafara high-density in Harare East constituency.
The police banned the rally on the basis that it had been booked for some other unspecified political activity.
Meanwhile, Obey Shava is representing CCC in the matter before the courts.
Apparently, for the 4th time in 1 month human rights lawyers have had to resort to litigation to try & ensure that residents can freely exercise & enjoy their right to freedom of association & assembly by filing urgent application seeking to overturn police ban of CCC rally.
