PICTURE: Zim police intercept 2000kg of Malawi mbanje-weed at Forbes Border crossing

MUTARE: Zimbabwe law enforcement officers at Forbes Border post in Mutare have intercepted over two tonnes of marijuana(mbanje)on Thursday afternoon.

The mbanje(pictured) was packed in 92 bags weighing a total 2134kg.

The loot was discovered in a truck coming from Malawi and the truck has since been impounded at the border.

The driver of the truck fled after being intercepted. No arrests have been made.
