A Zimbabwean nurse has embarrassed work colleagues after she was pictured in handcuffs following an incident at a local supermarket.
The United Bulawayo Hospitals employee named as Sister Dzvene was apprehended by guards at Pick and Pay Supermarket as she exited the shop without paying for goods she was carrying.
She is accused of using an old receipt to fill up trolleys and steal goods from the supermarket.
A source from the supermarket said the security officers recovered goods that included toiletries, food and other unidentified items.
According to unconfirmed reports from her place of work, Dzvange was beaten by security personnel at the hospital after she was found with gauze bandages that she had stolen from one of the wards some months ago.
