President Emmerson Mnangagwa has distributed the second batch of new pick up trucks from all provinces of the country as a follow up to the earlier distribution undertaken in January this year.
The vehicles were given to those who were not given in the first exercise.
The 84 Isuzu double cab trucks are part of government’s arrangements to uplift and restore the dignity and status of traditional leaders.
Speaking at the occasion, President Mnangagwa said the chiefs are an embodiment and custodians of Zimbabwe’s cultural values and ethos.
While chiefs are mandated to facilitate development in their communities they have been accused of corruption and unholy political alliance with the ruling Zanu PF.
