People who threatened Madzibaba Moses with pistol not members of security forces, police

The Zimbabwe Republic Police ZRP has reiterated that the suspects who threatened Madzibaba Moses are not members of the country’s security forces, adding that the dispute is purely on religious differences and has nothing to do with members of the security services or CID Homicide.

The alleged assault incident in Warren Park 1, Harare on 21/02/23 involved Lloyd Gwasarira (43) alias Madzibaba Moses Madzibaba Masowe Echishanu and two suspects, Tafadzwa Matoro (37) and Elvis Borerwi (39).

The police said the two suspects were arrested and the case was referred to CID Homicide after one of them used a pistol to threaten complainant during their dispute.

“The dispute is purely on religious differences and has nothing to do with members of the security services or CID Homicide,” said the police.

The police added that the suspects and are employed in Tynwald and Willowvale industrial areas, respectively.
