The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested 77 396 people throughout the country since an operation targeting cross border crimes commenced in January 2021.
Apparently, on 12 December 2021 police arrested 427 people countrywide under the same operation code named “No to Cross Border Crimes”.
Meanwhile, on 12 December 2021 a cumulative figure of 11 334 was reached for police arrests on motorists fitting vehicles with dangerous bar headlights across the country while the arrests under operation “No to touting” stands at 28 173 since its commencement on 01/01/21.
At least 142 people were arrested under the INTERPOL-AFRIPOL joint operation code named “Flash –IPPA (Illicit Pharmaceuticals and Health Products in Africa)”, being conducted by 54 African member countries, bringing the cumulative arrests to 1 413.
