Opposition Plans MEGA Coalition Alliance Launch Rally

Press Statement: The MDC-T party together with other opposition parties will on the 5th of August 2017 launch officially a coalition alliance rally. This rally comes on the backdrops of several calls by the public for the opposition forces to come together and fight the ZANU(PF)regime from one corner. This has always been the desire of the generality of the Zimbabwean populace as one Zimbabwean once said “Zanu(pf) can only win if the opposition parties decide to lose”

The choice of the venue also has a historical meaning for it was the same venue which the people of Zimbabwe celebrated the fall of the Smith regime and its going to be the same venue when the people of Zimbabwe will celebrate the fall of the Zanu regime.

Several political parties including war veterans, civic society groups, churches, youths and women will grace the occasion and be unveiled as coalition partners to the MDC-T.

At the just ended meet the structures meeting a week ago, the MDC-T President, Dr Tsvangirai promised that by the end of the month, MDC-T as a party will be in a position to tell which coalition partners the party will work with and the 5th of August is indeed the D-day for the party supporters and the general Zimbabwean populace.

The people of Zimbabwe want their real Zimbabwean life back, they want to go back to the original Zimbabwean way of life. This is the beginning of the good old days to come.

Asked to comment, MDC-T Hre Provincial Chairman, Hon Murai said that as Harare, we know how important it is to push for a united election platform of all pro-democracy forces under one strong Presidential candidate and we all agree that we are better off with a candidate whose resilience and loyalty record is well known, and that candidate is non other than Dr M. R. Tsvangirai, a tried and tested leader “.

Hon Murai urged all the Harare structures to come in their numbers to this unique gathering of the minds. The program will start at 9:00am sharp at the Zimbabwe Grounds in Highfields. MDC T
