HARARE: Opposition leader, Divine Nhambi, has reportedly pulled out of the presidential race saying the election is already rigged in favour of Zanu PF leader Emmerson Mnangagwa.
He leads National Alliance of Patriotic and Democratic Republicans (NAPDR)
Hove allegedly cited the elections will not be free and fair hence he did not see the point in contesting.
It was during the Multi Party Liaison Committee meeting with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission when he dropped the bombshell.
“ZEC has failed to lead the country towards a free, fair and credible election,” he said.
His action comes amid cries among Zimbabweans for opposition parties to pull out of the elections which are alleged to have been rigged already.
Nhambi has not openly commented to confirm or deny the story.
