Opposition claims victory in Cameroon ending Biya’s 43 year rein

The opposition Leader Issa Tchiroma has declared victory in the Cameroon presidential election ending the 43 year reign of President Paul Biya.

President-elect Tchiroma confirms he has won the October 12 presidential election and says he is waiting for Paul Biya’s call to congratulate him.

He has since addressed the Nation saying the Winners is not himself but the people that brave all odds to vote for him.

The 95-year-old Paul Biya has been in power for 43 years and is viewed as a Western-backed leader. He has not yet said anything.
