A Nyamandlovu man was recently brought before the court of law over bestiality allegations.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe has confirmed the development in a news bulletin.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority, the court heard that on September 23, around 1 pm, Brian Sibanda, from Edwaleni Village in Nyamandlovu, was seen chasing goats in Bundubala Village, Insiza, before allegedly catching a doe.
He reportedly sexually abused the animal and left behind a used condom at the scene.
The matter was reported to the police, leading to his arrest.
Sibanda was sentenced to four months in prison, which were wholly suspended on condition that he does not commit a similar offence within the next five years.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe has since warned the public that such conduct is not only immoral but also a criminal offence which will be prosecuted to ensure justice is served.
