The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating two murder cases involving toddlers.
In a statement, police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the toddlers, aged one and 3 years were allegedly killed by their mother, in Damafalls suburb of Norton on Saturday.
The 24-year old mother is said to have had an altercation with her mother and was chased away from the family residence in Maridale.
She then took her two children with her and later strangled them to death.
The woman handed herself to police after committing the crime.
Senior Assistant Commissioner Charamba said it is disturbing that police have recorded several cases of a similar nature and urged people to seek counselling when faced with challenges. zbc
