No joy for Zim as stadia fails to meet CAF standards

Zimbabwe’s soccer fans have been given a major blow after the Confederation of African Football(CAF) indicated that the country’s stadia fall short of good standards.

The Warriors’ ceremonial home of football, National Sports Stadium, is among those condemned to host CAF matches.

Following CAF stadium inspections conducted last month, Mandava Stadium and National Sports Stadium failed to meet minimum requirements to host CAF matches.

Consequently, they have been removed from the list of approved stadia.

However, CAF gave a nod for Barbourfields to host national national team matches.
