Mugabe prostate cancer report; Zim journalists arrested over story

President Robert Mugabe’s police has nabbed Newsday reporters Mr Wisdom Mudzungairi(editor) and seasoned journalist Richard Chidza  over a story on the President’s health.

They are being accused  for undermining  Mugabe s authority.

According to a police report, the two have been taken in following the publication of a story titled Mugabe in fresh health scare a day ago.

The two were summoned today Friday morning before they were formally charged, their lawyer, Obey Shava, confirmed.

The first accused is Alpha Media Holdings (AMH) and the second accused is the editor and the 3rd accused is the journalist.

Zimbabwe police are particularly concerned over a line that says; there are reports that he is afflicted not only by old age but also prostate cancer.

Mugabe’s health crises was laid bare in 2016 when an insider ‘Ken Yamamoto’ revealed that the 93-year-old now only works for thirty minutes a day and spends the rest of his time sleeping due to old age related infirmities.
