MDC president Mr Morgan Tsvangirai missed protests the eastern city of Mutare due to bad health.
Tsvangirai who also missed Bulawayo march early this month was due to see a local doctor for a routine medical check up.
Sources in the opposition party indicated that their leader is not necessarily bedridden but just taking precaution as he recently had an operation in South Africa.
According to sources, the MDC leader is a lot better than what he was last month though he needs to rest a little longer than what they were expecting.
Tsvangirai sent a phone message to thousands of party supporters in Mutare who marched against the leadership of Mugabe and economic failure supposedly caused by Zanu PF government.
