President Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia has announced that from the next academic year, tertiary education will become 100 percent subsidised by the government.
This means that no registration fees or tuition fees wil be required at all state universities, technical & vocational education centers.
Governments survive mainly on taxes, it is not clear if Namibia will increase taxes to fund the free education or not.
