Over Our Dead Bodies, War Declared on Mugabe, Zanu PF

Latest: More Protests & Demos in Zim Against Mugabe

Zimbabwe’s opposition parties have decided to pay Mugabe in kind after the later threatened to unleash violence against demonstrations organised by forces opposed to his rule.

Speaking yesterday after Mugabe’s chilling warning to use security forces and militia to deal with demonstrations in Zimbabwe, the country’s main opposition parties including MDC, ZAPU and ZIMPF have vowed to take Zimbabwe’s police head on, even if it means death and imprisonment.

To send a clear message to the 92 year old, opposition forces led by Morgan Tsvangirai , Joice Mujuru, Welshman Ncube and Tendai Biti met and resolved to resume demonstrations on an even higher note.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, MDC T spokesperson Douglas Mwonzora indicated that time has come to ‘fight fire with fire’.

“We will up our game against Mugabe. We are not afraid of him or his police. He must know that we are not about to negotiate with him for our constitutional rights,” he said.

Many protesters have gone on to remind Mugabe that it was him who signed the current constitution that guarantees and encourages freedom of expression in Zimbabwe.

Former vice president Joice Mujuru has added her voice to the issue insisting ‘Zimbabweans have no choice but to take Mugabe’s government head on’.

Meanwhile, an unidentified man has appeared on video loading an assortment of guns into a military bag, threatening to  deal with Kasukuwere, G40, Mnangagwa and Mugabe(see picture below). Zimnews could not verify the source and location of the footage that has been watched many times on facebook and youtube.
