The soon to depart President Robert Mugabe is set for his last dance at the global stage.
Today he may make his last scheduled speech in New York at the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Mugabe’s farewell address!
While the tone and direction of the speech will not change, those watching the Zimbabwe leader’s speeches since years gone by, will endure a painfully slow, inaudible talk, focusing on how the powerful, United Kingdom, United States, and their NATO allies have wrecked havoc in the world.
Unleashing refugees across the perilous seas, for reasons they best know.
He will however not have time to explain how his own country, Zimbabwe, is also producing high numbers of mainly economic, and to some extent political refugees at the same alarming scale as endangered countries like Somalia and Democratic Republic of Congo.
On a different note, there are rumours from very credible sources that this could be Mr Mugabe’s last attendance of the United Nations session.
We reported on Sunday that South Africa, UK, US, EU and China are about to pour billions into the country to the ‘soon to come’ government of Emmerson D Mnangagwa.
Mnangagwa who is Mugabe’s number 2 is now expected to take over the reigns in few months time.
Some say he will be president by December 2016.
Many have sited advanced age and rapidly deteriorating health as the reason for Mugabe’s ‘soon to be announced retirement’.
When and what time is Mugabe Giving his UN Speech?
Mugabe’s farewell speech is scheduled for about 4PM Zimbabwe time today.
