President Robert Gabriel Mugabe arrived in Kampala, Uganda this morning for the inauguration of President Yoweri Museveni who has been in power since 1986.
Mugabe was seen off at the Harare International Airport his 2 deputies Phelekezela Mphoko, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa and several high ranking government and Zanu PF officials.
He left without First Lady Grace Mugabe, for the second time.
She is in Singapore looking after Mugabe’s first grandson, Simba Gabriel Chikore, first born son of daughter Bona Mugabe Chikore.
Cde Mugabe is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi and some senior government officials.
Museveni won a controversial election in February 2016.
Phelekezela Mphoko takes over as acting President of Zimbabwe while Mnangagwa will be his deputy.
