Zimbabwe president Robert Mugabe has left Harare for Rwanda, Kigali where he is expected to meet with other heads of state for the African Union Summit scheduled for 15-18 July 2016.
Mugabe is then expected to fly all the way to Singapore to meet up with his wife, First Lady Grace and daughter Bona Chikore Mugabe.
The Zimbabwe leader has been criticised for his frequent journeys that are overbearing on the country’s tax payers.
He leaves a country literally burning as there are numerous protests going on against his government.
Yesterday, state prosecutors lost the fight to have This Flag activist Pastor Evan Mawarire jailed for attempting to overthrow Zanu PF government after a Harare judge ruled his arrest unconstitutional.
The summit’s theme is “2016: African Year of Human Rights.”
