Mugabe dairy bombing was sanctioned by Zim Army, says accused

One of the soldiers facing accusation of attempting to petrol-bomb the Mugabe Family’s Omega Dairy Farm yesterday maintained that he was participating in an operation coordinated and managed by his bosses from the Zimbabwe National Army.

He says that he was doing a covert operation to compromise the other army culprits who were there to actually bomb President Mugabe’s farm.

The accused army officer Mr Borman Ngwenya  said this while defending himself through his lawyer.

He also said that his actions had the full backing of one Major Mashava and there is a lot of telephone evidence showing their communication prior to the the arrests.

The case will continue next week
