I see you in 2018 elections, Mugabe warns War Vets, Challenges Mujuru’s ZimPF

President Mugabe sent a warning message to Joice Mujuru’s Zimbabwe People First party when he lamented the direction that many war vets are taking.

Mugabe singled out singled out Rugare Gumbo, the current ZimPF spokesperson as an example of how personal ambitions were destroying the ruling party.

“Now vana Gumbo nana Mujuru are saying vane vanhu but ndinoti regai ndichavaona muna 2018 (Gumbo and Mujuru now claim that they have many followers, I will  meet them at the 2018 polls),” Mugabe said.

He also warned some war vets in ‘Team Lacoste’ who have been very vocal about the upcoming Zanu PF million men march.

Mugabe’s warning come at a time when Zanu PF is divided into warring factions over Mugabe succession issues that are yet to be discussed in the party.

mugabe wants to contest 2018 elections while war vets and Team Lacoste faction want him out of zanu PF and government as soon as possible.
