Zimbabwe police have arrested a group of South African bound Mozambique refugges near the country’s Beitbridge border with South Africa.
About 80 people in total were in two buses that were travelling from Zimbabwe to South Africa.
All passengers were identified as Mozambican refugees from Manica area.
They are reportedly victims of political violence in their country where Renamo bandits are fighting Frelimo government forces.
The group crossed into eastern Zimbabwe before hiring traffickers who helped them to travel towards the border town of Beitbridge where they were later intercepted and arrested by Zimbabwe police.
Ten Zimbabweans have since been arrested and appeared in court for human trafficking offenses in connection with the case.
