Zimbabwe policing authorities have reported that a cumulative figure of 112 motor vehicles were on Thursday impounded in an operation targeting unregistered vehicles in the country.
In a statement posted on the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)’s official handle on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, the police said they have so far impounded a total number of 44 197 motorists since the onset of the operation.
” …the Zimbabwe Republic Police reports that on 24/03/22, 320 people were arrested while 112 motor vehicles were impounded under the ongoing operation targeting unlicensed, uninsured, unregistered motor vehicles as well as non-complying public services vehicles,” tweeted the ZRP.
Added the police:
“The cumulative arrests since commencement of the operation now stands at 44 197”.
