Moses Muchenje, a former captain of CAPS United, has announced his readiness to return to football after successfully undergoing rehabilitation for drug addiction.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who was one of Zimbabwe’s most promising footballers during his time at Gunners, CAPS United, and Harare City, has been off the radar since last year.
He revealed that he had been struggling with alcohol abuse for almost two years due to stress and depression.
However, with the help of Jadel Football Academy, he has been in rehabilitation at Mubatirapamwe Trust for the past three months and is now ready to make a comeback to the sport.
Muchenje advised people not to indulge in alcohol or substances and warned of the damage they can do to careers and relationships.
The Mubatirapamwe Trust Executive Director, Christina Madamombe, confirmed that Muchenje had made significant progress during his rehabilitation and could now return to playing professional football.
