President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa says the death of former minister of Information Chris Mushowe is a sad loss to the nation.
Mushowe played the role of government during his tenure in the First Republic.
This was before the Second Republic took over through a military intervention and removed “criminals surrounding President Mugabe” to restore order.
Mushowe helped a lot of children of loyal cadres to get scholarships at Fort Hare University where the late former president Robert Mugabe learnt.
Meanwhile, the late Mushowe has been accorded the National Hero status, this is according to the ruling party ZANU PF.
The party says he will be buried at the National Heroes Acre once consultations between government and his family are concluded.
