Mnangagwa mocks Chinamasa, Mangudya over Zim cash crises

VP Emmerson Mnangagwa was not impressed when he witnessed hordes of people lining up to withdraw all their cash from a Masvingo bank yesterday.

Mnangagwa then attacked finance minister Patrick Chinamasa and the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor John Mangudya for failing to effectively deal with the country’s money problems.

“These two people are not practical at all. They do not have any excuse for this,” said Mnangagwa.

The VP added, “if you go to the finance minister, he will tell I do not have any cash and if you ask John Mangudya he will tell you the economy is about to take off. I have asked for answers from them two. They have got to prove to us that they are worthy to be in charge of our economy, they have failed to deal with the problem,” said Mnangagwa.
