A Zanu PF factional war involving Harare prophet, Walter Magaya, Minister, Saviour Kasukuwere and President Mugabe could get deadly after Mnangagwa’s faction seized the moment to bury a rival faction once and for all.

G40 is facing annihilation by the Mnangagwa camp after it’s godfather Kasukuwere was humiliated by Robert Mugabe last week over Harare land allocation.

Sources indicated that Team Lacoste, a faction linked to Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, is now going for the jugular and want Mugabe to expel Kasukuewere and his backers.

Some youths linked to Mnangagwa are now reportedly baying for the blood of Kasukuwere himself and his lieutenants namely Kudzai Chipanga, the Zanu PF secretary for youth affairs, Innocent Hamandishe, youth political commissar and Kasukuwere’s younger brother, Tongai, an executive in Zanu PF youth.

However, the so called Kasukuwere accomplices have dismissed reports that they got land through the Minister.

“I have no such land. If I took an inch of it, let people go and repossess it,” said Tongai Kasukuwere.

He blamed Mnangagwa’s supporters for concocting the allegations to force him out of the party.

Chipanga and Hamandishe also denied benefiting from any land allocation.

Saviour Kasukuwere has also refuted the allegations, despite President Mugabe insisting last week just before a Politburo meeting that he had given land to prophet Magaya and friends.

Meanwhile a party insider told zwnews.com that Grace Mugabe, G40 matron, is livid over her husband’s unguarded attacks against Kasukuwere.

She has reportedly assured Kasukuwere that Mnangagwa and Team Lacoste will never succeed in their plans to take over power from Mugabe.

A Mnangagwa ally who spoke on condition of anonymity has expressed concern over G40 corruption.

” Is the President Lacoste? Corruption is corruption, especially when it is raised by the President. They(Grace, Kasukuwere, G40) have cases to answer and they should just explain how they got that land,” said a Mnangagwa ally.
