Mliswa wants Presidential results displayed at polling stations to counter vote rigging

Norton Independent Member of Parliament, Temba Mliswa says Zimbabweans should push for the displaying of Presidential election results at polling stations to counter vote rigging.

“I have always said elections are won at the polling station and parties should make sure they have agents present when votes are counted.

“With that we should be pushing the display of Presidential results at the polling station again,” he says.

Mliswa adds that the electorate should also learn to defend and protect their vote.

According to him, the major problem in this country is actually electoral malpractices not rigging per se.

“We have parties that give handouts, intimidate and harass the electorate,” he says.

He urged candidates to campaign effectively adding that their work as a politicians can stand them in good stead against such gimmicks.
