MDC-T Harare MP ‘Josephine Chitembwe’ Dies

The Movement for Democratic Change Member of Parliament for Harare Metropolitan, Josephine Chitembwe, has lost her battle against cancer.

Lynette Karenyi, National Chairperson for the Assembly of Women said :” Hon. Chitembwe made it public that she had been diagnosed with a form of cancer last year. Regrettably last evening around 7 PM she lost her battle with cancer. She leaves us, in midst of a fight for change.

Josephine Chitembwe, MDC 

She will be sorely missed by members of MDCT Assembly of Women, her relatives, her friends and by her Parliamentary colleagues. Not to mention very large numbers of people across this country and around the world.”

Chitembwe is a founding member of MDC T. At the time of her death she was organising Secretary of the MDC-T Assembly of Women.
