MDC demo is good news for ED: Grace’s ex-hubby Goreraza

By Stanley Goreraza | The President’s own party has it’s very own request to publicly gather and march rejected by the police. The opposition is given a green light to march and demonstrate by the very same police! The President comes out the winner here. It gives the run up to elections credibility. The oppositions demonstration actually demonstrates Mnangagwa’s commitment to a free and fair election and civil liberties to the outside world. The opposition has actually scored an own goal. Their aim was to discredit the period and process leading to elections and Zanupf sniffed the trap laid for them and kept a clear head.

There was violence at Harvest House yesterday and nearby supermarkets had to temporarily close shop as Mdc turned on Mdc. Whenever the Mdc gathers in numbers these days there is always disorder, chaos, anarchy and violence. It would be a miracle if todays demonstration concludes without incident. Diplomats from the continent and all over the world have been watching and reporting to their home countries. If the Mdc should ever complain of violence and unfairness nobody outside of Zimbabwe is going to bother listening. Perpetrators of violence cannot be victims.

The Mdc has done great damage to their own image. From violence to their party leader making discredited claims which have been proven to be untrue.

The value of their standing has gone down. Their credit rating has nose dived down whilst that of Zanupf has improved.

Keen observers will ask how and why a serious opposition will demonstrate for electoral reforms a week before the sitting of Nomination Courts.

Zanupf doesn’t need to be violent with the opposition anymore as the Mdc has proved they can be violent to each other without Zanupf getting it’s hands dirty. Zanupf does not need to destroy a self destructive party. The Mdc’s primary elections have shown that the Mdc needs reforms to make it’s candidate selection processes democratic, free and fair before they can demand the same from Zec. Their own elections have been violent and chaotic. So how are they to lecture Zec? goreraza
