Zanu PF Mashonaland East Province has endorsed calls for the ouster of Saviour Kasukuwere from his party position.
The decision was reached at a Provincial Executive Council meeting held at the provincial party offices in Marondera.
Provincial spokesperson, Kenneth Mutiwekuziva said Kasukuwere had caused a lot of confusion in the province by creating parallel structures and fanning factionalism, adding that the decision will be ratified by the Provincial Coordinating Committee on Friday.
Zanu PF Central Committee member and Minister of State for Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs, Retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri and provincial chairman, Bernard Makokove thanked the Provincial Executive Council for the decision, saying no one is above the party.
The Provincial Executive Council meeting was attended by all party wings with the main wing led by Makokove, the Women’s League led by Acting Chairperson, Beatrice Nyamupinga and the Youth League led by Kevin Mutsvairo. zbc
