Latest on Mandoza Mduduzi Tshabalala funeral, burial

The late Mzansi Kwaito superstar Mduduzi Mandoza Tshabalala will get a fitting farewell from his fans and family at a public memorial service to be held at Ellis Park tomorrow, Wednesday, September 21st.

Mandoza will be buried this coming Saturday, with other details to be communicated soon.

The late singer shot to stardom with his song Nkalakatha that made him an instant household name.

He died on Sunday following a well publicised battle with brain cancer.

Mandoza who had first been diagnosed with cancer last year had been suffering with the disease again after a tumour was detected in his brain.

The musician was due to start a new type of chemotherapy and had lost his eyesight due to the cancer in his brain before he died, family spokesman, Mzwakhe Tshabalala said on Monday.

“His eyesight went away two weeks ago in both eyes and was blind when he died,” Tshabalala said.
