A fraudster from Bulawayo wanted by the SA government on allegations of stealing more than R10 million was arrested in Victoria Falls.
Reginald Bernstein (61), was allegedly on the run from the time the crimes were discovered in November 2015.
An Interpol (international Police) carrying a warrant for his arrest fished him out from his secret hide out on March 16.
The alleged faces theft and fraud charges committed between April 7, 2009 and November 27, 2015 in South Africa when he was employed at Danger Golf Estate in Gauteng Province.
Bernstein’s lawyer, Mr Givemore Muvhiringi applied for his release from custody but the application was detained due to determination of extradition.
He has been in remand prison since his arrest last month awaiting trial which will continue this Friday.
