Tinashe Zisengwe

A man from Chipinge could not stomach being evicted for not paying rentals resulting in burning the landlord’s house.

Sam Madzura (23) who is still on the run is reported to have been renting a tuck shop in Gaza Surbub, Chipinge belonging to Brenda Mhlanga.

Madzura is alleged to have failed to pay rent as per agreement and Mhlanga tried to evict him but he resisted.

He got angry and went to the landlord’s house at night where he burnt her house as well as property before vanishing into thin air.

The matter was reported to the police who are still on a manhunt of the culprit.

Chipinge district police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Blessing Kadzuraumera confirmed the incident.

Ass Insp kadzuraumera urged members of the public to solve differences amicably rather than taking law into their hands.
