Man strikes colleague to death with pick

A man from Nyanga was struck to death by his heartless friend who was accusing him for assaulting his mother.

The incident which has left Ruwange villagers under Chief Katerere’s in area dumbfounded occurred on last week when brothers identified as Farai and Innocent Kapenga teamed up and set an ambush for Kizito Bulawayo after receiving rumors that he had assaulted their mother.

Manicaland police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Luxon Chananda confirmed the murder case to the press.

Ass Insp Chananda said the now deceased was coming from a local beer hall together with his brother Howard Bulawayo.

As they approached their homestead, Innocent emerged from the bush and started questioning the deceased why he had assaulted his mother Lilian Kapenga.

Innocent went on to beat up Kizito with clenched fists resulting in his brother Howard trying to intervene.

However, the deceased then met his fate as Farai came from behind armed with a pick which he used to stab him.

The duo after committing the heinous act they fled from the scene and are on the run since then.

Howard after discovering that his brother was unconscious he rushed to the police on patrol who then assisted him to carry his brother to a nearby Hospital where he was declared dead upon admission.
