Shakespeare Muzavazi

Despicable acts continue to unfold in Chief Zimunya’s kingdom where a man was recently arrested after he allegedly pushed his friend into a tarmac and was crushed to death by a passing vehicle along Mutare-Masvingo highway after a dispute over a $1 debt.

According to Manicaland deputy provincial police spokesperson, Assistant inspector Luxon  Chananda, the suspect Lloyd Murigwa (31) of Karima village under Chief Zimunya was drinking beer with the now deceased Innocent Chidzura at Guzzlers Inn, Rowa Business Centre.

The two allegedly had a dispute over a $1 debt and a scuffle ensued. During the commission, Murigwa is alleged to have pushed Chidzura to the tarmac who was then hit by a Honda fit which was being driven by Lino Pito. He died on the spot.

Murigwa appeared before magistrate Innocent Bepura facing murder charges.

He was remanded in custody and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court
