Man arrested for smuggling firearm from SA

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Chinhoyi arrested Blessing Webster Mucheri (30) of Musiiwa Village, Zvimba for being found in possession of an unregistered 9mm Retay 84 Pistol serial number RFSYC 1902105998 which was smuggled into the country from South Africa.

 

Apparently, on 25/02/23, Police in Harare recovered a PI pistol serial numbers 75065888 with a magazine of 8 rounds which was found in a Toyota Funcargo registration number AEG 1256 which was being abused by a hired driver, Martin Muzanenhamo (adult).

 

Police has urged members of the public are warned against illegally possessing firearms.

 

In other news, on 22/02/23 Police in Chivhu recovered a Toyota Corolla Spacio vehicle reg no. AEL 7908 which had been stolen through robbery in Harare CBD on 18/02/23. A team of police officers on patrol noticed the vehicle dumped by the road side at the 28km peg along Chivhu-Moffat Rd.
