Mahere begs Temba Mliswa as Job Sikhala returns to court

The High Court will today hear bail application for lawyer, parliamentarian & Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) deputy chairperson Job Sikhala.

He has been jailed without trial for about 190 days.

Meanwhile, CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere has begged Norton Independent Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa to amplify calls for Sikhala’s release.

“Dear @TembaMliswa

“Job Sikhala is a Zimbabwean MP, lawyer & political prisoner.

“He’s been jailed without trial for 190 days for representing Moreblessing Ali who was murdered.

“Help us draw the world’s attention to his plight with a RETWEET. We demand his release,” she says.

Sikhala was arrested on allegations of inciting public violence at the late slain Ali’s memorial service.

Sikhala threatened that those who were responsible for Ali’s death would be in trouble from avenging spirits.
