Losing Zanu PF Demands Party Card To Get Water at Mnangagwa Borehole

Barely 24 hours after Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) candidate, Unganai Dickson Tarusenga cruised to victory in the by-elections held over the weekend, reports from that part of the country indicate that those manning the borehole that was drilled by President Emmerson Mnangagwa are now demanding a Zanu PF card for the residents to access watyer from the borehole.
On Saturday, Tarusenga amassed 5 830 votes, to beat Zanu PF’s Robert Jinjika who got 4 483 votes.
On the other hand, MDC Alliance’s Adam Puzhi got a paltry 202 votes with Marcos Sanyanga, an independent candidate getting 55 votes.
“Mnangagwa went to St Mary’s & gave them a borehole hoping to win the constituency. The citizens were smart enough not to be bought with a borehole. After losing the constituency to
(the CCC and) they are now demanding a ZANUPF card before you can get water. 2023 ZANUPF Must Go!” tweeted journalist-cum-activist Hopewell Chin’ono.
