Local Gvt Minister July Moyo forces councils to buy fire engines from Belarus

Local Government Minister July Moyo has instructed rural councils, town councils and the six major cities to purchase fire engines from Belarus.

He said they must do so using devolution funds.

Apparently, for some watchers this is being viewed as another scam after the recent controversial Pomona deal.

Meanwhile, the government will take delivery of the trucks and act as go between linking the supplier and local authorities.
