Hoplophobia: Mnangagwa to spend vacation in Zimbabwe

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has started his annual leave which runs for the next three weeks until the end of January 2020.

Mnangagwa who reportedly ditched the traditional December vacation due to Chiwenga coup fears will spend his holiday between Harare and Kwekwe.

Is he suffering from hoplophobia..The word means an irrational fear of weapons, fear of firearms or fear of armed citizens.

He will not be travelling abroad.

The acting Chief Secretary also announced that Mnangagwa’s two vice-presidents, Constantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, will take turns to rule in his absence.

The 77-year-old Mnangagwa replaced the late Robert Mugabe as president and has been in office since 2017.
