The Zimbabwe National Army is embarking on a massive recruitment starting this week.

The recruitment includes that of general duty soldiers and specialist/technical personnel.

See some recruiting provinces below:

ZIMBABWE NATIONAL ARMY (MIDLANDS PROVINCE) GENERAL DUTY AND SPECIALIST RECRUITMENT FOR 2019 INTAKE

Headquarters 5 Infantry Brigade will conduct General Duty and Specialist recruitment selection from 01 to 30 April 2019.

Candidates must satisfy the following criteria in order to be considered:

a. A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.
b. Aged between: 18 to 22 years as at September 2019
c. Minimum Height: 168cm for male and 155cm for female candidates.
d. Minimum Weight: 57Kgs for male and 55 Kgs for female candidates.
e. Body Mass Index (BMI) : 18-25
f. Pass a 10km road run in 45 minutes for males and 55 minutes for females.
g. Pass clinical tests, no flat feet, no spectacles, skin condition etc.
j. Pass IQ test.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIALISTS AND TECHNICAL CANDIDATES MUST ALSO SATISFY THE BELOW:

a. Signals Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes. Mathematics, Physics or Intergrated Science and English are compulsory passes required.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -At least a National Certificate or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

b. Engineering Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -At least a National Certificate or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

c. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -At least a National Certificate or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

d. Ordinance/Procurement/Logistics/Catering Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -At least a National Certificate or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

e. Health Services Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -At least a diplomas or any degrees in the field of speciality.
  • Medical Cadets must be enrolled with medical institution in Zimbabwe and be on their 3th to 5th years of their studies.

f. Social Work Services Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of a Certificate or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

g. Legal Services/Law Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of a degree in law.

h. Agriculture, Farming Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of diplomas and/ or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

j. Accounting/Auditing Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English. ‘A’ level Accounts is added advantage.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of a Certificate or any higher qualification in Accounting/Auditing.

k. Education (teachers) Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holders of teaching diplomas and/or Certificate or any higher qualification in science subjects as specified.

l. Economist/Geologists/ Commerce Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of diplomas or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

m. Information Technology Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes including Mathematics and English.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of a Certificate or any higher qualification in IT or the field of speciality. n. Chaplains (Pastors) Candidates
    -A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.
  • Aged between 18-35 years.
    -Be a holder of Certificates or any higher qualification in Philosophy or Pastoral work on in the field of speciality.

p. Public Relations Candidates
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be a holder of diplomas or any higher qualification in the field of speciality.

q. Music/Band Candidates .
-A minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes.

  • Aged between 18-30 years.
    -Be talented musicians, holders of musical qualifications and skilled in playing musical instruments. ALL SPECIALIST CANDIDATES MUST PASS PRACTICAL/TRADE TESTS
  1. Mberengwa District – Mataga Growth Point 4-5 April 2019.
    2.Zvishavane District -Mabasa Growth Point 6-7April 2019.
    3.Shurugwi District- Tongogara Growth Point 8-9 April 2019.
  2. Mvuma District- Hama
    Growth Point 10-11 April 2019.
  3. Gweru District- Cross Roads Growth Point 12-13 April 2019.
  4. Gokwe South District- Cheziya Sch 14-15 April 2019.
  5. Gokwe North District – Nembudziya Growth Point 16-17 April 2019.
    9.Kwekwe District- Headquarters 5 Infantry Brigade (Battlefields) 23-24 April 2019. Candidates should bring with them:
  6. Original Birthcerticates, National IDs, Academic and Professional Certificates and certified photo copies of them too.
  7. Recommendation letters from either School Heads, Chiefs, Councillors and Headmen.

Educational Qualifications
-5 ‘O’ levels
-Age 18 to 22 years as at 01 September 19.
-Minimum height 168cm for male and 155cm for female.
-Minimum weight 57kg for male and 55kg for female.
-BMI 18 to 25.
-10 km road run in 45 minutes for male and 55 minutes for female.
-Candidate to a pass ” B” extended vetting.
-Candidate are to pass clinical tests (no flat feet, no spectacles, skin conditions etc).

SPECIALIST AND TECHNICAL CANDIDATES
-A minimum 5 ‘O’ level pass lncluding Mathematics, Physics or Science and English.
-Age between 18 to 30 years.
-At least a National Certification or any Higher Qualification in the field of specialist.
