Zanu PF protests against Kasukuwere; Mafios

A number of Kasukuwere backers( including Mashonaland Central Youth League chairperson Isaiah Karina) have been arrested for trying to stop the demonstrations.

Today scores of Zanu-PF members are gathered at Chipadze Shopping Centre in Bindura  and other places in Zimbabwe where they are protesting against Saviour Kasukuwere who is being accused of trying to unseat President Mugabe unconstitutionally.

Kasukuwere’s half brother Dickson Mafios is also being accused of failing to run Mashonaland Central as provincial chair. They are singing songs denouncing Kasukuwere.

There are unconfirmed reports suggesting that Mugabe and his deputy  Mnangagwa has recommended that Kasukuwere and his brother be demotted from their current positions.
Many onlookers have expressed shock upon seeing the youths singing revolutionary songs denouncing Kasukuwere.
The demonstrations are reportedly being sponsored and directed by key figures supporting vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Lacoste faction.
