Harare: Ex- Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is reported to have signed a grand coalition deal today with former Vice President Joyce Mujuru ahead of the 2018 harmonised elections.
MDCT-T leader Tsvangirai and new outfit, National Peoples Party, leader Mujuru penned a memorandum of understanding(MOU) at Tsvangirai’s residence a few hours ago, zimnews can reveal.
MDC-T Senior party officials who were privy to the development said the memorandum of understanding is aimed at joining forces against President Robert Mugabe’s Zanu Pf party.
Several political analysts across the country have given thumps up to the deal saying it is likely to yield results.
John Chiteshu a political analyst said the deal should be commended as it shows that people of Zimbabwe are fighting for a common cause.
Mugabe faces 2018 election Armageddon
“We are tired of greedy politicans who want to enrich themselves at the expense of the masses. These two cadres have put their differences aside and look at the bigger picture that is the citizens. Hats off to the two Save and our real Amai, ” he said.
