Five armed robbers were shot by the Zimbabwe Republic Police after exchanging gunfire just before Lanchashire Steel turn-off on Wednesday.
Sources say “the well known notorious bandits” were gunned down in Kwekwe near Delta Beverages.
Police confirmed the deaths, but said they were still carrying out investigations.
However, sources said the five armed robbers on wanted list were shot dead by armed police personnel.
