Kuda Mahachi found not guilty, Acquitted

Zimbabwe footballer Kudakwashe Mahachi was acquitted of two separate counts of attempted murder by Bulawayo regional magistrate Mr Mark Dzira because “the evidence given by the witnesses was contradictory and disjointed.”

Mahachi thanked the heavens after Bulawayo regional magistrate Mr Mark Dzira acquitted him on the grounds that the State failed to prove the essential elements of the case involving the player’s young son who got injured some months ago.

The magistrate added that he reached the decision to acquit Mahachi of all charges because the evidence given by the witnesses was contradictory and disjointed. The magistrate added that it was difficult to ascertain who was lying and who was telling the truth.

The magistrate further said the medical experts could not figure out the cause of the injuries hence the dismissal of the case and acquittal of Mahachi.
